Claim a vehicle registered by someone else

This happens, for example, when the previous owner didn’t transfer the vehicle when they sold it.

1. Add the vehicle as usual, by scanning the card. See Add a vehicle.
2. After Confirm & continue, Registered to another user appears.
3. Tap Continue with claim and finish adding it. If it was a mistake, tap Cancel, it was a mistake.

The vehicle shows on your Home with Claim in process. As the app says, the current holder has up to 5 days to respond; if they don’t, it transfers automatically.

If the holder rejects it, you’ll see Claim rejected. From the vehicle you can tap Cancel and remove vehicle or Contact support.

If someone claims your vehicle

You’ll see Transfer request. Tap Approve transfer if it’s no longer yours, or Reject if it still is.
